Music Lesson Terms of Service

Tuition and Payment

  • Payment: Payment is due on arrival.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Payments can be made via, Venmo, Cash - USD, Cash App, Check, Credit Card.

Attendance and Cancellation Policy

The Golden Rule: Your lesson time is reserved exclusively for you. Please respect the instructor's time by providing ample notice for changes.

  • Student Cancellations: To cancel or reschedule a lesson, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice.

  • Late Cancellations & No-Shows: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or fail to show up, the lesson is forfeited and no refund or makeup lesson will be provided.

  • Instructor Cancellations: If the instructor must cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be scheduled. If you prepaid for monthly lessons, we would reschedule you or refund the prorated amount.

  • Tardiness: If you arrive late, the lesson will still end at its regularly scheduled time to protect the next student's slot.

Definition of a Minor

For the purpose of these Terms of Service, a "minor" is defined as any student under the age of 18. All registration forms, waivers, and financial agreements for a minor must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Adult Supervision Requirements

To ensure a safe and productive learning environment, High Flight Audio enforces the following supervision rules based on the student's age:

  • Students Under the Age of 18: A parent, legal guardian, or an authorized adult (18+) must remain on the premises for the entire duration of the lesson. Adults are welcome to sit in the lesson room or wait in the designated waiting area, but they cannot leave the building.

  • The instructor will not text, call, or email a minor directly.

Materials and Practice

  • Required Equipment: Students must bring their instrument (if portable) and all required music books, notebooks, or sheet music to every lesson.

  • Practice Expectations: Progress depends heavily on consistent practice. Students are expected to practice between lessons.

Studio Holidays and Breaks

  • Lessons will not be held on major holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day).

  • High Flight Audio will let you know if instructors are blocked out for vacation.

Termination of Lessons

  • Either party may terminate at any time.

  • The instructor reserves the right to terminate lessons immediately due to frequent absences, behavioral issues, or non-payment.

Video and Audio Recording

  • Security Recording: For safety and security purposes, all lessons may be recorded.

  • Privacy & Content Usage: Video, audio, or images of students or guardians will never be published, shared, or used for promotional/marketing purposes without prior written approval from the student or legal guardian.
